Session detail

Despite continued buoyancy in public equity markets, the global economy has been undergoing enormous economic and political shifts. The fracturing from a uni-polar to a multi-polar economic and political order, alongside significant trade shifts, ongoing conflicts, changes in industrial and monetary policies, and the rise of AI are all leading to new market alignments.

For climate allocators, federal policy has reversed. Energy security and speed to power have displaced energy transition as the organising frames. An AI-driven buildout is reordering the power sector on a timeline no one modelled, and demanding enormous capital investment amidst a rising cost of capital and continued private market illiquidity.

Allocators are attempting to read the tea leaves, but uncertainty has caused retrenchment and paralysis in all but the most obvious sectors. Disruption breeds both need and opportunity. This conversation will delve into the impacts and opportunities spawned by the ongoing re-alignment.
